This research aims to create the first complete bibliography of books illustrated by Natalia Goncharova in France and to define in what projects she participated and did not complete for various reasons, based on her memoirs, letters, and diaries from the archives of the Kandinsky Library at the Centre Georges Pompidou and the archives of the State Tretyakov Gallery. While showing and analyzing each book illustrated by Goncharova, this research also includes a summary of the leading publishers and booksellers in order to outline the context of the Russian-language publishing culture in France of the 1920-1950s.
As a result, the information gathered would be essential for those who will work on this topic on the level of scholarly research as well as in the rare book dealership.
